SEPTEMBER 8, 2012 MEETING MINUTES

 

The regular membership of the Snake River Bassmasters, Inc., was called to order by President Kriner at 5:45 P.M. at the Meridian Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant.  There were 27 club members  and guests present.

 

MEETING MINUTES:

§         August meeting minutes approved.

 

TREASURY REPORT:

§         August Treasury Report approved.

 

INTRODUCTIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:       President Kriner asked for committee reports:

 

PUBLIC RELATIONS:

§         Bill Pickens came to our meeting in support of the BWW check presentation; he also gave a quick promo on his sponsors.  He is pro-staff for Bully Baits and Hardcore Baits.  If you go to the company website and order stuff, mention his name and get a discount.  He mentioned that they are some good end-of-year deals going on right now.   He might be able to get some free baits to hand out at a future SRB meeting.

 

CONSERVATION / WILDLIFE COUNCIL: no report

§         SRB needs a conservation director if anyone wants to volunteer.

§         We need to schedule trash pickups at Lake Lowell around the other trash pickups so that we don't double up.  Other groups pickup in April and September.

§         The Lake Lowell plan is coming out in June July August September; the Federation will set up a meeting for all members.

 

IDAHO BASS FEDERATION: Tom Horrace gave the following Federation report:

§         Scales of Justice is Sept. 23; boaters wanting to participate need to sign up ASAP.  Entry form in available on Federation website.

§         IBM is running a Dream Team Rally on C.J. Strike on Sept. 22.

§         Turkey Bowl is on C.J. Strike on Oct. 6.

§         Current Federation officers are done after this year, so new people need to step up for 2013.  If anyone wants to run they need to let Bruce know by November.

 

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR: Tournament director Jim Thornock reported:

§         Hells Canyon / Oxbow payout done.

§         Sign up for Brownlee tournament was done.

§         Reminder for all club members fishing tournaments:  first three boats out in each tournament are release boats.  Boat 4 needs to be ready to step in if we need an additional release boat.

 

YOUTH: Youth Director Jason Bousquet reported:

§         BWW check presentation; be sure to thank BWW for donations.  We gave them a thank-you certificate.

 


CLASSIC / HAN: Directors Steve Day reported:

§         A check for $400 will be given to the club from HSN.

 

SNAKE RIVER LADY BASS:

§         Everyone needs to remember to bring a can of food or a dollar to each meeting for the Needy Family program. Tom will collect the money / food.

§          

 

OLD BUSINESS:

§         Still waiting to see what happens at Lake Lowell to determine whether we continue the trash pickups.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

§         People need to think about running for SRB officers; nominations will be in October.

§         2012 banquet is coming up in November; do we want to do pizza at Mancino's again this year?  If so, we need to look at reserving the pizza place for that night.

 

There being no more business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.  The next meeting would be on Oct. 1 at the IHOP Restaurant in Nampa.
