TREASURY REPORT:

Treasury Report was reviewed and approved.

INTRODUCTIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:

No guests or new members were introduced.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:       President KRINER asked for committee reports:

PUBLIC RELATIONS:

CONSERVATION / WILDLIFE COUNCIL: Conservation Officer Tom H. reported:

J    The fall trash pickup at Lake Lowell is scheduled for Sept. 25 at 10:00 a.m.

IDAHO BASS FEDERATION: Tom Horrace gave the following Federation report:

J    Federation Banquet is Nov. 20; we need raffle items, so members need to be looking. Tickets for the Federation Banquet are $45 per person for the meal and raffle tickets; the tickets are available from Tom Horrace. Banquet guest speaker is Gabe Bolivar; major raffle prize is a MinnKota Fortrex trolling motor

J    The Federation is selling SolarBat sunglasses for $15.99.  There are 5 styles and the Federation needs to have at least a dozen of any design to order. We have a sample kit for members to look at it before ordering.

J    The Federation bought $600 worth of carp tracking tags for IDFG.  They will use the tags to track carp and then remove them from Lake Lowell this winter.

J    The Scales of Justice tournament is Sept. 18 on C.J. Strike. They have around 35 kids signed up.

J    Discussion on guaranteeing spots on the State Team for regions; right now it is 2 people per region. We voted on changing it to membership based on participation.

J    If anyone has any good pictures for the Federation Banquet slide show, please send them to Steve Day.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR: Tournament director Steve Day reported:

J    Owyhee awards and checks were handed out.

J    Yearend results were discussed

J    There was some discussion on the SRB Snow Bowl team; we need to see who is in and who is out before team finalization.

J    There was a discussion on changing the club's tournament format. Cody mentioned that some people that have been fishing Premier may be looking for something to fish next year.  Several suggestions were presented including going to a team format and changing the option pots.  Another suggestion was to allow kids to fish as a part of a team to get them involved; this would remove the problems of a kid's limit in the boat and a kid that only wants to fish a part of a day.

YOUTH: Youth Director Jason Bousquet was not present and had no report

J    Nothing

CLASSIC / HAN: Directors Steve Day and Bill Kriner  reported:

J    Nothing until next year

SNAKE RIVER LADY BASS: Lady Bass President Kira Bousquet was not present and reported by e-mail

J    Everyone needs to remember to bring a can of food or a dollar to each meeting for the Needy Family program.

PREMIER BASS: No more Premier Bass

SUPERIOR BASS:

J    Next tournament is Grand Championship Oct. 2 & 3 on Dworshak.

OLD BUSINESS:

J    The discussion on doing away with the free membership was postponed.

NEW BUSINESS:

J    We got bumped out of the banquet room and held the meeting in some booths out in the dining room.  We need to start looking for a better location, again...

J    Sweatshirts have been delivered to everyone that ordered them.  Steve still has one with no name on it available for purchase.  If more people want to order the sweatshirts, we will have to come up with at least 8 or 9 people to get a good price.

J    More discussion on a flyer about our club to increase membership.  Roger told us that Sportsman's Warehouse will let us have a booth in the entrance to recruit members.

There being no more new business, President KRINER reminded all that the next meeting would be on Oct. 4 at the Denny's Restaurant in Nampa.  The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
