MEETING MINUTES
The regular membership of the Snake River Bassmasters,
Inc., was called to order by President Horrace at 7:10
P.M. at the Nampa IHOP Restaurant. There
were 11 club members and

SRB needs a
conservation director if anyone wants to volunteer.

Youth Championship
Tournament was August 3-4, 2013, on Cascade Reservoir.

The Federation is looking into making motor bands since we are having
problems buying them.

2014 Banquet planning. New location at the

C.A.S.T. is coming up August 17 on Black Canyon Reservoir.
§
Jack & Jill tournament is on Brownlee Sept 29.
§
Bill brought up scheduling conflicts, namely IBM scheduling on top on our
Youth Open and HSN.
TOURNAMENT
DIRECTOR:
Tournament director Jay Bagley reported:
§
Brownlee tournament payout given out.
§
Club needs to try and build up club numbers for next year so that we
can pay out more than two spots in club tournaments.
§
Club needs to look into ways of reducing fish mortality. Ideas include
going back to using the portable air pumps for weigh bags, looking into a
wet-weigh system and buying or encouraging the use of catch-n-release
chemicals.
§

voted to add a Big Fish Option for second day of the tournament; will
weigh in early on Sunday
§
There will be a potluck Saturday evening about 6:00 p.m. at
§
We will do a raffle at the potluck again; everyone needs to bring a
pre-wrapped raffle prize or two.
YOUTH: Youth Director Jason Bousquet
reported:
§
BWW is kicking back 15% on the food/drink tickets for people attending
the award ceremony; kick-back came to about $95.
CLASSIC / HAN: Directors Steve Day reported:
§
HSN was July 20 on Owyhee Reservoir.
We ended up with 16 boats and everyone caught quite a few bass. The winners were Sawin
& Sawin with 18.61 lbs.; Chuck got Big Fish with
a 4.22 lbs. largemouth.
§
There were a fair number of dead fish, so we need to look at ways to
reduce that.
§
Everyone needs to remember to bring a can of food or a dollar to each
meeting for the Needy Family program. Tom will collect the money / food.
