The weigh in was held in Huntington City Park where there was lots of shade and grass.
Thanks to Edmark Chevrolet for loaning SRB a Hummer again this year to tow the release tank for the fish and the weigh station trailer. The Hummer always attracts a lot of attention in the park...
Payette River Bassmasters President Rick Cox came back to be MC for the weigh-in again this year and interviewed anglers on their success as they waited for their fish to be weighed.
The winning weight brought in by SRB member Neil Russell and his partner Tony Fanelli. They had a limit of 12 fish that weighed in at 26.17 lbs. for almost 2-1/4 lbs. average per fish.
For the second year in a row, Second place went to Mike Allen and Larry Spath. Their weight was 25.78 lbs., leaving them 0.39 lbs.out of first place.
3rd place went to Rod Schiemer and Phil Ruffcorn with a limit of 12 fish for 24.19 lbs.
Sean Madron and Josh Stewart placed 4th with a limit of 12 fish for 23.22 lbs.
Sawin and Sawin placed 5th with a limit of 12 fish for 23.01 lbs.
Jim Wells and Pete Horkley placed 6th with 12 fish for 22.78 lbs.
John McMahen and Carl Dice placed 7th with a limit of 12 fish for 22.60 lbs.
Chuck Caba and Hal Zimmerman had the Big Fish for Saturday. It was a 4.44 pound smallmouth. Their boat broke down and they left early, so we didn't get a picture of them.
SRB members and tournament sponsors Dusty Womack and Darrell King had the Big Fish for Sunday. It was a 6.82 lb largemouth; this fish won the $520 Sunday Big Fish Award and the Bottomline 1100 fish finder donated by Bottomline Electronics for Overall Big Fish.
SRB Member Bill Kriner won the George Roth Custom Rod that we raffled off. He was lucky to get it as he was out helping release fish from the tournament when it was raffled off...
There were lots of raffles prizes given away after Saturday's weigh-in as well as a smoked beef brisket BBQ provided by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber also had a BBQ chicken dinner on Sunday after the weigh-in for those that wanted to eat before hitting the road. The smoked brisket and BBQ chicken were great!
Travis and Shonie Jarvis loaned us Superior Bass's Weigh-in trailer for the tournament; it made for a very professional weigh-in. Thanks again!
Here's part of our dedicated tournament staff ready to record the anglers' weights as they weigh-in. From left to right: Jacquie Raitter, Mary Russell, and Sherrie Russell
Here's the weigh master, Steve Day and head fish handler Bill Kriner on the release tank.
John Hatcher helped out with everything, including washing the Hummer before it went back to Edmark's.
Last, but certainly not least, everyone needs to thank James and Jacquie Raitter for running the Harold Martin Memorial Classic again this year. They did a great job again!
